Give Me a Lever Long Enough
I was trying to fit a warped board into place today and found that I couldn’t generate enough force to get the board where I wanted it.
Force can be multiplied by leverage, so it occurred to me that lack of force should reasonably never be the reason for failing to be able to move something.
The only real problem is simply to find the proper leverage point.
I think this applies generally to more abstract cases, as well.
