Bing Maps Bird’s Eye View: Now 4x Cooler
I’m too lazy to Google it to find out when this change happened, but I noticed today that Bing Maps Bird’s Eye View is now 4x cooler than it used to be. Bing’s low-elevation “Sim City”-like view of selected areas formerly offered only one angle to from which to view a given locale. But now, the ‘rotation arrows’ on the left-hand side of the navigation bar now permit you to view your house (or, the Statue of Liberty, as the case may be) from the North, South, East or West.
Very helpful for large urban areas, where tall buildings might obstruct the surroundings.
